ARRAN BROWN, MBA

FOUNDER & CONSULTANT

Arran Brown, the founder of Strategy Pilot, is also the founder of a cycling company called, Cycle Fit, which he initially established as a sole proprietorship (2005), and then formally incorporated as a private company in 2013.

In 2007, Arran commenced his career as a professional cyclist. Arran is the only cyclist to have achieved the Triple Crown, in the same year [2009], winning the Cape Argus Cycle Tour, Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge and the Amashovashova Classic, the three biggest races in South Africa.

A career as a professional athlete taught him that winning is a result of determination, discipline, teamwork, perseverance, sacrifice, consistency, and mental strength; and the same skills apply to a business environment.

Arran holds a PDBA and an MBA from Wits Business School; these two postgraduate qualifications have helped him gain exposure to different types of businesses and different ways of thinking and solving problems. While completing his MBA, he pushed himself to even greater heights after being invited to attend an Advanced Business Strategy course at the University of La Verne in California, USA. The learnings and insights gained from these two postgraduate courses have helped him add greater strategic value to his businesses as well as others.

He can connect with people, and he applies a relational approach to leadership. Arran knows how to interpret situations well, at different levels, to achieve the best business outcomes. His strategy is always to consider the bigger picture and then put in place practical and logical steps to act on opportunities and improve inefficiencies.

In 2019, Arran started a consulting company called Strategy Pilot. In this business, he provides business consulting services to small and medium-sized businesses. Arran helps businesses unlock potential, which allows business owners to achieve their vision and goals.
